DESAFÍA Agrotech-Germany Programme

DESAFÍA Agrotech-Germany is an immersion and mentoring programme aimed at Spanish Agrotech companies with a strong focus on innovation and technology, which are interested in scaling up their business model internationally. The programme is organised by ICEX Spain Export and Investment and Red.es, and will take place from 7 April to 2 June 2026. Applications are open from 28 January to 18 February 2026.

The programme is aimed at Spanish AgroTech companies in the following sectors:

  • Agricultural biotechnology, including applications in crops, biology, veterinary science and livestock farming.
  • Circularity and carbon sequestration applied to bioenergy, biomaterials, regenerative agriculture and livestock farming.
  • Robotics, mechanisation and smart equipment, including machinery for agricultural and livestock farms, automotive, drone manufacturing and farming equipment.
  • Software for agricultural and livestock farms, including data capture devices, sensors and big data analytics.
  • Other Agrotech sectors.

The aim of this programme is to improve the scalability and growth of our companies, with a view to competing on a global scale and becoming a benchmark in the sector, positioning Spain as a technological leader in this field.

The DESAFÍA Agrotech programme is funded under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), specifically under Component 13 “Support for SMEs”, Investment 5 “Action Plan for Internationalisation”, contributing to the achievement of objective number 213 of the CID (Council Implementing Decision), which aims to ensure that 3,000 companies participate in projects supporting internationalisation, of which at least 2,500 must be SMEs. Furthermore, Component 32, “Support for Recovery and Resilience in Response to Natural Disasters”, in its Investment 5, focuses on programmes to support the internationalisation of businesses in the territories affected by the DANA and to address the tariff crisis.
