Professional experience
- General Director for Economic Policy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business since August 2025.
- Deputy General Director for European Funds from June 2024 until August 2025, overseeing the Spanish Recovery Plan, financial instruments managed by ICO, COFIDES, and the EIB, and representing the Ministry in negotiations with the European Commission.
- Adviser to the Cabinet of the Vice President and Economy Minister from September 2021 until June 2024, responsible for European Affairs.
- Digital Finance Adviser within the Spanish Treasury from December 2019 until September 2021.
- Senior Associate at RBB Economics, a UK-based consultancy specialising in competition economics from 2012 until 2015 and from 2017 until 2019.
- Earlier roles include positions at the Swedish Competition Authority and the Belgian pharmaceutical group UCB, contributing to his international experience outside the Spanish public sector.
