GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE TREASURY AND FINANCIAL POLICY

 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the proposal, development and monitoring of the Department’s general policy in relation to financial regulation; the financing and management of public debt; the coordination and authorization of public issuers, including territorial public administrations and the State owned enterprises; the management of the State Treasury; the general organisation of payments; the management and administration of the General Deposit Fund; and the inspection and control of capital movements.

Academic background

• Bachelor´s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE).
• Civil servant of the High Corps of State Economists and Trade Specialists, 2010.

Professional experience

• General Director of the Treasury and Financial Policy at the Spanish Ministry for Economy, Trade and Business from 2024.
• Director of Resolution at FROB from January 2021 until February 2024.
• Director of the Board of Directors of the European Investment Fund from April 2020 until January 2021.
• Member of the Board of Directors at the European Investment Bank from August 2018 until 2022.
• Deputy General Director for the EU´s Economic and Financial Affairs in the Spanish Ministry for Economic Affairs from 2015 until 2021.
• She worked at the Public Debt Management Department of the Spanish Treasury from 2010 until 2015.
