Support for regulatory councils or management bodies for geographical indications. Grant scheme for opening up foreign markets: geographical indications strand
The support under the Geographical Indications Strand aims to support legal defence and protection of geographical indications in third-country markets and includes:
- Costs associated with the registration of geographical indication names, including the payment of fees required in some countries.
- Costs of contracting services for the defence and protection of geographical indications.
- Costs linked to monitoring and alert services to detect the misuse of the protected trademark outside Spain.
This grant forms part of the “Aid Programme for the costs of opening and consolidating foreign markets”, under Component 13, SME Support, of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, specifically Investment 5 relating to internationalisation, contributing to the objectives associated with it, in accordance with the regulations governing the Recovery and Resilience Facility and the Recovery Plan at European and national level.
Regulatory Councils or Management Bodies of designations of origin or geographical indications may be eligible for support under the Geographical Indications scheme.
