ICEX Vives Project Grant Scheme
The grants under the ICEX Vives project aim to increase the number of professionals with training and skills in internationalisation, thereby helping to improve the competitiveness and productivity of Spanish companies operating internationally. The recruitment of qualified young people is a key tool in supporting companies with an international outlook, across all sectors. The objective of the ICEX Vives Project is, therefore, to improve the employability of young Spaniards and contribute to the internationalisation of companies in our country. This scheme is aimed at individuals of Spanish nationality or from any of the Member States of the European Union, to undertake non-paid work placements in subsidiaries or establishments abroad, facilitated by Spanish companies within the ICEX Vives Project, managed by the public business entity ICEX Spain Export and Investment, attached to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business through the Secretary of State for Trade.
The grants awarded under the “ICEX Vives Project” fall under Investment 5 (internationalisation) of Component 13 (Support for SMEs) of the Recovery Plan, as well as under Investment 5 (evaluation of programmes supporting the internationalisation of businesses in areas affected by the DANA and to address the tariff crisis), namely the “ICEX DANA” and “ICEX Tariffs”, under Component 32, Support for Recovery and Resilience in response to natural disasters, of the addendum to the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The programme has been allocated a budget of 60 million euros. The objective of CID 213 (Council Implementing Decision) for this investment is for at least 3,000 companies, of which 2,500 must be SMEs, to complete projects supporting their internationalisation, within the framework of the Action Plans for the Internationalisation of the Spanish Economy 2021–2025.
